Monthly Meeting
WCCHE holds monthly meetings at 7:00pm on the third Monday of each month unless specified
otherwise in the WCCHE newsletter. A guest speaker, special curriculum event or
student presentations are included in the content of the meetings.
The reasons for monthly meetings are threefold:
- To enable homeschoolers to get together for instruction, sharing information and fellowship.
- To provide our members access to various resources such as: The Resource Table and Library.
- To provide a group format for our children to show their skills and talents.
Meetings typically last two hours. A session for new members is generally held at
each monthly meeting.
Childcare
Childcare is made available during each monthly meeting. WCCHE offers childcare at
the monthly meetings because (1) we want to limit your distractions so you will be
able to hear and receive value from the speakers and activities offered; (2) we want
to limit the distractions others encounter so they will be able to hear and receive
value from the speakers and activities offered.
The nature of the WCCHE monthly meetings can vary in three ways. Many monthly
meetings are designed for the whole family. Some will captivate home schooled
children. Other meetings are meant to meet the needs of home school parents only.
We offer childcare arrangements to suit the nature of the meeting planned. We
offer nursery care for ages birth to five years. On occasion we will offer
childcare for all your children.
We ask that if your children will be with you
in a meeting, they will need to be at your side and as quiet as possible. This
is to respect the speaker and those in the meeting from distracting noises.
Please make use of the childcare facilities so that all may enjoy the meeting.
Both the nursery and the older children's childcare (when used) are supervised
by two professional childcare workers, provided by the church where we meet.
The church takes their role seriously by doing background checks on their workers
and training them in emergency procedures. We request a $1 per child "donation"
from families that can afford it, to help defray the cost of the workers.
Each month's newsletter will mention what arrangements are available for that
month's meeting. We hope you will take advantage of the services offered, and
that they will play a part in refreshing you and equipping you as you home school.
An important note!! Children are not allowed to wander around or in or out of the
building unsupervised. This applies to teenagers, as well. This rule is made to
protect the children and respect the church which generously allows us use of
specified areas of the building. Please keep your children in the meeting room
with you at all times. Thank you.
Homeschool Vendor Sales
At each monthly meeting, space is available for two vendors to display their wares.
Please call the support group leaders to reserve a table for an upcoming meeting.

The WCCHE Library is available at the monthly meetings. However, you must be a
